ACTIVITY TYPE

ACTIVITY TYPE MASTER DATA

1. Plan activity: The quantity you want to plan for the period for Cost center and activity type combination.
2. Distribution key: Key for distributing plan values on periods according to various criteria (analog, equal, and so on).

3. .Capacity: What is the total capacity of this Activity type for the cost center

5.Price fixed: Per unit fixed price of the activity type for the cost center
6.Variable price: Per unit variable price of the activity type for the cost center
7.Equi No: This number will determine how the cost center values will be distributed to the activity types (if at all there are more than one number of Activity types for a cost center).

Activity Quantity set:

let us say, We have used this activity in one of the production order and while confirmation for 100 nos of header quantity, as per rounding the consumption of activity is 10 hours. But, as per my business requirement, I must edit it while confirming as 11 or 12. So, this manual intervention is become must if I set this indicator in activity master data.

Plan quantity set:
Let u say, we have finished out planning for this activity as 10 hrs per month. This let us say, derived from yearly input of 120hrs/year as per equal distribution. Now, in the month of May I change the value of yearly to 132 and does reconcile. This will not change my value of every month to 11 as average if I set this indicator. So, this indicator is to ignore automatic reconciliation of activity values. You can manually still change the same.

Average price:
This funda is same as Plan quantity set. Instead of hours, this is taking about value.

Cost element - is the cost carrier from FI to CO, like a integration point.

Cost Center - is the cost bucket (e.g. production cost center incurs the machinery cost)

Activity type - is the activity within the cost center (e.g. machinery hours) - used in product cost calculation





ACTIVITY UPLOAD

Normally it is not suggested to use LSMW for Planning Data Upload for Cost Element and Activity Planning in Cost Center Accounting.

There is "Excel Upload" method available which standard SAP feature. You will need to create Planner Profile, Planning Layouts etc.
Pls find the detailed procedure below for Excel Upload for cost element planning...

CREATE LAYOUT: (Example of cost element planning layout) KP65
1. Create cost center element planning layout:
2. To insert new lead column:
i) Press New Lead column and select the required column. As shown in screen shot below.
ii) Click Lead column and select name and characteristic (to view both the field name and description).
iii) Click confirms to save.

3. For general data selection: click on general data selection button (Filter Symbol).
The following screen (Fig C) appears. Select the fields required and press confirm.
Then follow previous step to add new lead column.
4. Save the layout.
USER DEFINED PLANNER PROFILE: KP34

1. New Entry: Give profile name and description. Then save the profile.

2. Select the newly created profile and press General Controlling. Fig E appears. Select the planning area for which layout has been created. (In this case Cost element/activity planning). Select QUDK from selection list (i.e. the basis for distribution of the total cost over each period). Save the planning area.

3. Select the newly created planning area and press Layout for controlling. Fig F appears. Select the layout to be attached to the planning area and check the integrated box. Save the layout.

4. Select the newly created layout and press default parameters.

5. Give the Version, period from and to, year, cost center, activity (if activity dependent), element. Check the form base button and press overview screen.

6. Save Generic Name of file. (eg. Planning*.txt).

7. Save file description.

8. Save excel layout.
